Masters Dissertation

What are the 5 basic chapters of a master’s dissertation?

A master’s dissertation as implied by the name is usually submitted in the final year of a master’s degree. A master’s dissertation in countries like US and UK is considered as a mandatory item and students have to clear it in order to get a degree. Students first have to submit a masters dissertation proposal and once the proposal is accepted they can start writing the masters dissertation. There are five basic chapters in a masters dissertation and these 5 chapters are: 1) Introduction 2) Literature Review 3) Research methodology 4) Findings and analysis 5) conclusion. However, some instructors don’t want a generic masters dissertation and they instruct their students that they can have their own chapters if they can produce a great write up. Therefore, students should consult their instructors in this regard and they should be in touch with them when they are writing a masters dissertation because once they are out of their track it is very difficult to handle a dissertation of masters level.
